IPTV on Apple TV
Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD. Setup follows the same pattern as every other device, using a player from the App Store.
Before you start
- Your Apple ID password, which the App Store will ask for.
- The connection details supplied with your subscription.
Step by step
Setting up on Apple TV

Open the App Store on the Apple TV
Select the App Store from the home screen and use Search rather than browsing the categories.

Install the player
Search for the app named in your setup details and install it. It appears on the home screen when it is done.

Enter your connection details
Open the app and add your subscription. Use the Apple TV Remote app on your iPhone to type — it is far quicker than the on-screen keyboard.

Wait for the first load
The channel list and programme guide download once. Later launches are much faster.

Start watching
Browse by category, or use the search inside the player when you already know what you are after.
If something is not right
Try these first
- The app will not install: check that the Apple TV is running a recent tvOS version under Settings → System → Software Updates.
- The picture is soft on a 4K set: confirm the Apple TV output resolution in Settings → Video and Audio.
